The MRRC Munich RoadRunners

Founded in 1985 as a running club, the MRRC gradually expanded its focus to include triathlon. Today, more than 500 members of all ages participate in road running, trail and mountain running, and triathlon. The MRRC is one of the largest member clubs in the Bavarian Triathlon Association.

The majority of our members are passionate amateur endurance athletes, ranging from young children to active members well into their 80s. At the same time, several MRRC athletes have progressed to state and national performance squads in triathlon and athletics.

In triathlon, MRRC teams compete in the German league system, primarily at the regional and state levels. Over the years, the club has also fielded teams in the German Triathlon Bundesliga.

In addition to its sporting activities, the MRRC is also an experienced event organizer. Since 1997, the club has organized the Munich New Year's Eve Run in Munich's Olympic Park, one of the largest club-organized running events in Bavaria with more than 4,000 participants each year. For many years, MRRC was also the organizer of the Munich City Triathlon in the Olympic Park (2003–2015).

MRRC Munich RoadRunners Club e.V. is a member of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV), the Bavarian Triathlon Association, the Bavarian Athletics Association, the Bavarian Swimming Association, and LG Stadtwerke München.
